LAHORE: Lahore College for Women (LCW) University stunned Kinnaird College for Women (KCW) in the final to win the Pakistan Inter-University Women Basketball Championship here at Nishtar Park Sports Complex courts on Thursday. Punjab University (PU) on the other hand defeated Agha Khan University Karachi in the classification match to win the third position. In the final KCW, who beat PU in the semifinal, failed to maintain the good work and lost the final to LCW 30-16. Sehrish Maqsood of the winning team was named the player of the match. Mohammad Asif, assistant director HMC, was the chief guest of the day. Khalid Bashir, Secretary Pakistan Basketball Federation, Madood Jafri, Ammara Rubab of KCW, were also present on the occasion.
