MULTAN: The Academic Staff Association of Bahauddin Zakariya University on Wednesday condoled with Assistant Professor of Physics Anwar Manzoor over the death of his daughter in an accident due to alleged negligence of the BZU transport staff.
The ASABZU meeting held in the chair of Prof Dr Saeed Akhtar strongly condemned the performance of the BZU transport staff, which allegedly caused death of Ayesha, the daughter of Prof Anwar. Ayesha was killed when a bus of the varsity had crushed her to death due to alleged negligence of the transport staff. The ASABZU meeting demanded immediate termination of the bus driver and conductor who were involved in the incident from the service. It was told in the meeting that similar incidents had been occurred frequently during the last two years, which had claimed several lives of innocent people due to alleged negligence of transport staff. The meeting suggested that the Motorway and Highway police officers should be invited for conducting driving tests of all drivers at the university.
