KARACHI: Additional District and Sessions Judge South has ordered businessman Aqeel Karim Dhedi to appear in the court on every hearing over charges of damaging the reputation of a private bank by indulging in propaganda against it on a private news channel.
The accused Aqeel Karim Dhedi and Haji Ghani Usman appeared in the court on Tuesday, while another accused Asad Kharal chose to stay away. Asad Kharal’s lawyer requested the court to grant him exemption from personal appearance.
The court rejected the request and directed the lawyer to submit such application in presence of Asad Kharal. However, the application of accused Suleman Mirza for exemption from appearance was accepted. The hearing of the case was adjourned till March 31.
