ISLAMABAD: Defending champions Daily Jang started their Jang Media Cricket League 2018 campaign successfully by beating Dawn by 36 runs here at the National Cricket Ground Wednesday, says a press release.
Batting first, Jang scored 111 runs in the allotted six overs. In reply, Dawn were bowled out for 75.Runners-up of the last tournament The News outclassed Geo TV by 76 runs while Nai Baat, Express News and M.Com also recorded victories in their respective matches.
Nai Baat scored 123 runs in the allotted overs. Channel 7 could only managed 79. Express News crushed 92 News by 10 wickets while M.Com beat Top City by nine wickets. The News piled up 136 runs in the allotted overs. Geo TV, in reply, were bundled out for 60 runs.
The tournament is being organised by Jang Media Group in collaboration with Star Marketing, Top City, National Savings, Brighto Paints, Vertex, Gandhara City, Real Time Marketing, Redsun Associates, Pak Associate, Multiply and Airport Enclave.
