Pak-KSA ties not anti-Iran: Qayyum
ISLAMABAD: Senate Standing Committee on Defence Production Chairman Senator Abdul Qayyum has expressed hope that Pakistan’s good relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) will provide a sound base for improving Riyadh-Tehran relations.
In a statement, he said Pakistan’s relations with Saudi Arabia should never be perceived as anti-Iran.
“While the USA and Israel are spitting venom against Iran, the third Satan Modi is warming up,” he said while commenting on the Iranian president’s visit to India.
“Pakistan’s historic warmth for the KSA notwithstanding, Iran must realise how a key country in a staunch anti-Muslim trio can be their friend. Chabahar facility was offered to terrorist Modi much before Pakistan decided to beef up training a contingent already present in Riyadh for the last many decades”.
“However our good wishes for Iran and contacts with our very important Muslim neighbour will not only continue, but also be reinforced removing all misgivings. Because our relations with the KSA should never be perceived as anti-Iran. In fact our good relations with the KSA will Insha Allah ultimately provide a sound base for improving Iran-KSA ties,” he said.
