MANSEHRA: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has asked secretaries of village and neighbourhood councils in the district to finalise data of 760 prayer leaders of central mosques within three days so that they could be paid stipend of Rs10,000 per month.
“We have asked secretaries of village and neighbourhood councils across the district to submit biodata of prayer leaders within three days,” Ziaur Rehman Jadoon, the assistantdirector of local governments, told reporters on Thursday. Jadoon said that in the first phase the prayer leaders of 760 central mosques, where Friday prayers were being offered, would be paid Rs10,000 per month. “We have received strict directions from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government to accomplish the data collection task within three days,” he said.
