CHIEF Minister Shahbaz Sharif has ordered the ministers concerned that the issues pertaining to the blind persons be resolved immediately.
He directed that utmost care should be taken of the visually impaired persons while food and other facilities should also be provided them on priority basis. He constituted a committee comprising ministers, assembly members and officers concerned and issued instructions to resolve the matter relating to blind persons amicably under the law.
He was presiding over a high-level meeting, here, Tuesday. The meeting reviewed in detail the demands of the blind persons.
Addressing the meeting, Shahbaz Sharif said that blind persons deserved special attention and love of the society and their genuine problems would be resolved under the law. He directed the committee that the demands and problems of the blind persons be given a sympathetic consideration and they should be saved from inconvenience. He said the decisions taken in the meeting with a delegation of Pakistan Blind Association were being implemented.
MPs: Shahbaz Sharif has said that entire nation is determined to rid the country of terrorism and a decisive war is being fought against terrorists and their facilitators.
The chief minister was talking to parliamentarians of various districts who called on him here on Tuesday.
COMPENSATION: Shahbaz Sharif has announced financial assistance of Rs500,000 each for the families of those who lost their lives in the incidents of roof collapse, as a result of rains in Wah Cantt, Rawalpindi and some other areas of Punjab. A sum of Rs75,000 each will be given to the injured persons. The chief minister directed that best treatment facilities be also provided to the injured.
