GHALLANAI: The interns of the National Internship Programme on Monday staged protest outside the Mohmand Press Club in favour of their demands.
The interns, including Abid Khan, Fazal Rahim, Shahzad Ahmed and others asked the federal government to provide jobs to the NIP beneficiaries. They claimed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had provided jobs to the NIP interns and the federal government should also do the same.
The protesters said the prospective employers require applicants with three to five years experience. They added that the government should either consider providing jobs to the NIP interns or extend the duration of the programme to five years.
