BAHRAIN: Pakistan’s ambassador Javed Malik Thursday met with Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and discussed the growing ties between Pakistan and Bahrain.

The foreign minister appreciated the valuable efforts by ambassador Javed Malik in further consolidating and expanding the diplomatic, economic and cultural ties between Bahrain and Pakistan. Sheikh Khalid Al Khalifa said Bahrain highly values its strong brotherly relations with Pakistan.

While recalling his recent visit to Pakistan in which he co-chaired the First Pakistan Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC), the foreign minister said the upgrading of our diplomatic ties to ministerial level was a major step and it highlights the significance that both countries attach to their relations.

It may be noted that the JMC was followed by the first Pakistan-Bahrain Business Opportunities Conference for which Bahrain’s Commerce Minister Zayed R. Alzayani had led a large government and business delegation to Pakistan in March 2017.

While thanking the foreign minister for his support, the Pakistani envoy said it was a matter of great satisfaction that the vision of the top leadership of both the countries has been materialised following a meeting of Bahraini king with the Pakistani premier in 2015 in Bahrain.
