PESHAWAR: The Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University (SBBWU) has signed memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with a number of international and national universities to establish linkages and promote research and academic activities.
The agreements were signed by vice-chancellor of the university Prof Dr Razia Sultana and heads of a number of universities on the occasion of third vice-chancellors’ forum held in Islamabad, recently.
The international universities with which the MoUs were inked included Allameh Tabataba’I University, Iran and Alzahra University, Vanak, Iran, Fatih University, Turkey.Understanding was also reached with some leading national institutions like the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), National College of Arts, Lahore (NCA) and Pakistan Institute of Engineering & Applied Sciences, Islamabad (PIEAS).
In a press statement Dr Razia Sultana said these bonds would lead the SBBWU to the international recognition for the quality and research based education. The scholars and students of the universities with which the MoUs were signed would be exchanged for different research programme. Publications, symposiums and lectures would also be exchanged with the national and international institutions, she said.
