ISLAMABAD: The government was offering an unprecedented exports incentive package under the upcoming five-year Strategic Trade Policy Framework (STPF) 2018-23, a minister said on Wednesday
“The reimbursement of tax refunds and payment of funds under the Prime Minister's package is the government’s top priority,” a statement quoted Pervaiz Malik, the federal commerce minister, as saying during a telephonic conversation with Iftikhar Malik, the vice president of Saarc Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“The commerce ministry is emphasizing on clearing the payments to bolster exporters’ confidence,” the minister told the SCCI VP. The commerce minister also told the SCCI official that his ministry would launch a campaign for the international brand marketing.
“Pakistan needs hand holding institutions for Small and Medium Enterprises to help them become exporters,” the minister informed the SCCI leader and added that the government was taking bold steps to address exporters’ issues.
