BARA: The security forces reopened the Government Girls Primary School in Akakhel area after 14 years.
Lt Col Imran Khan of Mehsud Scouts inaugurated the Shaheed Manza Government Girls Primary School in Akakhel area of Bara tehsil in Khyber Agency.
Speaking on the occasion, Lt Col Imran said the militants deprived many students of getting education by destroying schools. He said it was the top priority of the security forces to provide education, health and drinking water facilities to the tribespeople.
Agency Education Officer (AEO) Jadoon Wazir also spoke on the occasion and said the government was providing facilities to the people in Khyber Agency. “At least 260 students were enrolled in the Government Girls Primary School Shaheed Manza,” the official said. An industrialist, Doran Gul Afridi, helped renovated the building of the school and provided furniture and books to the students. Assistant Education Officer Female Naveeda Bibi, Malik Zahir Shah Afridi and local elders were also present.
