BUENOS AIRES: Former Argentine foreign minister Hector Timerman was prevented from boarding a flight to the United States after his visa was rejected, according to press reports Wednesday. Timerman — a member of ex-president Cristina Kirchner’s government from 2010-2015 — is currently under house arrest accused of covering up Iranian involvement in a deadly 1994 bombing of a Buenos Aires Jewish center.
