MANSEHRA: The police on Friday busted a gang of women who defrauded over 100 women in Balakot in the name of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP).
The gang led by one Ayesha belonging to Abbottabad had received Rs200 each from over 100 women. The affected women were told they would get financial assistance under BISP.
The affected people informed the officials at the Balakot Police Station about the presence of the gangsters.
The police said the accused were set free after agreeing to return the money.
“We would register a case if the group didn’t return the money,” an official of Balakot Police Station said.
