ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Thursday said that he is feeling relaxed after giving statement about his fear regarding possibility of assemblies not completing their tenure as they are making efforts to ward off the threat and hopefully everything will be fine in Pakistan on political front.

Regarding his earlier statement he said, “The burden has got off my chest; we are all making efforts to ward off the danger [to political setup] and inshallah, it will be averted,” he said this while responding to media persons’ questions here after the inauguration ceremony of the newly established office and showroom in Islamabad by BSH Hausgeräte GmbH---a 100pc subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH Germany.

When Ayaz Sadiq was asked how he smelled the danger, he replied, “I smelt the danger through the air of Islamabad.”

On this occasion, he emphasised the need of increasing bilateral trade relations between Germany and Pakistan. Pakistani industries can greatly benefit from German technological advancements and a growing middle class population offers great potential to any foreign investor in Pakistan.

Tomas Alonso, BSH Home Appliances FZE CEO said that German companies consider Pakistan a preferred destination for trade and business and Pakistani market offers immense potential of bilateral trade between two countries. BSH Home Appliances FZE has established its showrooms and offices with local business partner Mega Home Appliances in Pakistan.

The company aims to expand its sales and distribution footprint in Pakistan and working to expand its retailer/distributor network across country. It has already established such showroom and office in Lahore and is planning to establish such facilities in Karachi too.

“The country is now region’s one of the emerging economies, with annual population growth of more than 2 percent. Pakistan has one of the highest growth rates in Asia. It results in an increasing number of households which have a need for home appliances,” Alonso said.

“We are targeting to become the No 1 home appliances supplier in Pakistan by doubling the T/O [turn over] year-on-year.”

In a country like Pakistan that has been facing power shortage issue, it is imperative that hundreds of millions of daily usage household appliances such as refrigerators, oven, dishwashers and washing machines etc consume less energy to save the power.
