KOEN donates ski equipment to Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: The Korea South East Power Company (Ltd) (KOEN) has donated ski equipment worth US $10,300 to Pakistan Ski Federation through Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) Tuesday.
The equipment would be used for the training of players for ski events including XXIII Winter Olympics to be held in Korea from February 9-25. Senior Technician Muhammad Karim has already qualified for the Games while Syed Humman is likely to make it to Winter Olympics. The PSB and KOEN signed MoU on 17thMay, 2017 in Islamabad according to which the company will donate ski kits and shoes to the maximum of KRW 10 million (equivalent to Pak Rs.1 million) for the ski players participating in Winter Olympics 2018.
Air Commodore Shahid Nadeem, Secretary General, Ski Federation of Pakistan, Min Byeong Soo Rep of KOEN, Syed Habib Shah Deputy Director General (Technical), PSB attended the handing over ceremony in the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad Tuesday.
