Lawyers protest against Trump

LAHORE: Lawyers on Monday observed strike to condemn US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

The call of the strike was given by Punjab Bar Council, which was endorsed by all the district bars of the Punjab including Lahore Bar Association (LBA). The lawyers didn’t join courts due to which cases were put on next hearings without any development.

The lawyers said Trump was trying to disturb world’s peace. They said Muslims are united against the decision. UVAS workshop: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Center for Educational Policy and Administration (CEPA) in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Islamabad on Monday organised a three-day “Faculty Training Workshop on Research Methodology”.

UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha presided over the inaugural session of the workshop and urged the faculty members to conduct problem-oriented research so that the field problems could be solved. Faculty of Biosciences Dean Prof Dr Habib-ur-Rehman and Department of Anatomy and Histology Chairperson Dr Hafsa Zainab were present on the occasion.

As many as 25 faculty members from various departments of UVAS attended the workshop. Prof Dr Habib-ur-Rehman highlighted the objectives of the workshop. He said the workshop would cover various aspects of research methodology which would help faculty members to better understand the scope of research.
