PCB won’t pursue case against banned cricketers

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) anti-corruption unit has decided not to further pursue the case against banned cricketers Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif.
It has been learnt that the PCB now plans not to press for extension on ban imposed on the cricketers by the anti-corruption tribunal. It has been learnt that the PCB unit has no objection to the decision given by the adjudicator which rejected the appeals of both the cricketers, who sort reprieve in their five year bans.
However, Sharjeel is most likely challenge the decision of ban on him in the court of law while PCB has taken back the appeal against Khalid Latif filed with the adjudicator. Now the hearing into the appeal case of Khalid Latif will be held on November 28.
