Rabiul Awwal moon sighted, Eid Milad on Dec 1

KARACHI: The moon of Islamic month of Rabi-ul-Awwal has been sighted and hence the 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal will fall on December 1 (Friday). The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee met Sunday evening for sighting of the Rabi-ul-Awwal moon, presided over by Chairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman. The body reviewed testimonies received from different parts of the country pertaining to the Rabi-ul-Awwal moon. Muneeb-ur-Rehman shortly after the meeting announced the sighting of the moon. Testimonies were received from Multan, Kallat, Jiwani, Zhob and Karachi, said Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman. The 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal will be observed on December 1 (Friday), he said.
