BANNU: One person was killed and seven others, including a woman and a child, sustained injuries in a road accident on Indus Highway, police said on Saturday.
They said that a passenger vehicle was heading to Multan from Peshawar when the driver lost control over steering wheel and it overturned on the Indus Highway late Friday night.
As a result, one Nadeem was killed on the spot while seven others, including a woman and a child, sustained injuries.
The body and the injured including Mansoor, Abdul Saboor, Najeebullah, Haider Ali, Noshada Bibi and Ali Khan were taken to the Khalifa Gul Nawaz Hospital in Bannu where condition of the injured was stated to be stable.
The body, after autopsy in the hospital, was handed over to the family members for burial. The police registered the case and started an investigation.
