OKARA: Police on Friday arrested four alleged killers who were wanted in separate murder cases here.
In the first incident, Ravi Ali Sher police arrested two alleged murderers who were wanted in a murder case at Jhedoo village. In another incident, police arrested Abida Bibi for allegedly murdering her husband Shah Muhammad at Allah Din village near Haveli. In the third instance, Sadar Renala Khurd police arrested Zulfiqar for allegedly killing his mother Halima Bibi at 4/1-L village. The police have registered separate cases.
RALLY AGAINST SHIKARPUR INCIDENT: Office-bearers of the Shia Ulema Council and the Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen on Friday took out a rally against the Shikarpur tragedy.
The rally was led by SUC provincial general secretary Syed Ghazanfar Ali, divisional president Mian Farzand Ali and MWM district general secretary Anwarul Haq Zaidi. The protesters were holding banners and placards inscribing slogans against the incident. Speaking on the occasion, various speakers warned that if the culprits involved in the incident were not arrested, all highways of the country would be blocked in protest. They demanded the government arrest the culprits who were involved in the incident.
