ISLAMABAD: Government is making all out efforts to end power loadshedding that is adversely affecting the national economy, said Spokesperson of the Prime Minister Dr Musaddiq Malik.
Talking to The News on Friday, he informed that the four-phase plan has been prepared in line with the directives of the prime minister who would directly monitor its implementation in letter and spirit.
He said the plan would help produce some 18,000MW of electricity and it would also cope with suppressed power demand that would come up due to expected increase in gross domestic product (GDP).
“When the government would provide adequate amount of electricity then the industrial units and domestic users would increase their dependence on it that would cause suppressed power demand in the coming years,” he said.Malik said the government has a clear road map and it would translate thermal and hydro power projects into reality to end loadshedding from the country.
