LAHORE :The traffic police are committed to resolving the traffic issues, and suggestions from the business community in this regard will be welcomed.
While talking to Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Vice-President Muhammad Nasir Hameed Khan and executive committee ,embers, Chief Traffic Officer Rai Ejaz Ahmed said modern E-testing lab and online learning and e-licensing systems were being established for the masses. He invited the LCCI to take part in the public the campaign to create awareness among the people about the traffic rules and regulations.
The CTO said that traffic flow was being ensured in construction area of Orange Train while traffic wardens had been directed to control traffic during school opening and closing hours. LCCI Vice-President Nasir Hameed said that traffic was disturbed in different parts of the city because of development work on the Orange Train project.
Additional traffic police force should be deputed to resolve the issue. He said that ban on protests and rallies on The Mall and other public places should be implemented strictly as it was causing a huge loss to the trade and economic activities. He appreciated CTO for deputing additional wardens in Badami Bagh.
