PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak Saturday directed authorities to demarcate a piece of land in Pabbi for a sports gymnasium.
He also directed officials concerned to inform his office about the actual position of the construction of grounds, as well as the provision of tube-wells and gardeners to the grounds throughout the province. He was presiding over a meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. Provincial Minister for Sports and Tourism Mehmood Khan, MPAs Khaleequr Rehman, Dr Haider Ali and other officials attended the meeting, said a handout.
The chief minister directed the concerned authorities to identify land for setting up of the sports gymnasium in Pabbi, likely adjacent to the college, where grounds for cricket and football would also be constructed. He also directed authorities to follow the government’s guidelines for the provision of all facilities in all sports grounds.
