Transfers, postings in police raise eyebrows

Islamabad: A few notifications of transfers and postings have left many questions about the merit-based appointments on vital assignments at police offices. The police authorities have appointed DSP Mohammad Hussain Lasi as sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) of the Shahzad Town Circle transferring him from Saddar Circle and DSP Idrees Rathore will replace him as SDPO Saddar Circle.
The authorities have posted SDPO Shahzad Town to SSG wing of the police department.
On police station level, Inspector Shaukat Thabal has been appointed as station house officer (SHO) of the Ramna Police Station, Inspector Rukhsar Mehdi as SHO Margalla Police Station from Bhara Kahu Police Station and Inspector Arshad Ali has replaced him as SHO Bhara Kahu.
Inspector Mehboob Ahmad is SHO Tarnol, Jamshed (SHO Karal), Aslam Kaliar (SHO Nilore) and Sajjad Bokhari is SHO Shalimar, while Inspector Munawwar Maher has recently been transferred to the CIA from Koral Police Station.
