Imran’s attitude dangerous for opposition alliance: Khursheed

ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah Monday came hard on the PTI chairman Imran Khan after his outburst on former president Asif Ali Zardari and said the attitude of Imran Khan is dangerous for the opposition alliance.

“If credit for going into the court has to be given then it goes to ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Sirajul Haq,” he said while talking to media persons at his chamber.

Khursheed Shah said Imran Khan has given the name of Sheikh Rashid in haste and if he thinks that he could compete with the PML-N alone then he needs to change his thinking. “There was understanding with Shah Mehmood Qureshi that the candidate would be announced after the consultation. If the PTI wants to move with the opposition then it would be better otherwise the opposition will field their own candidate,” said.

To a question regarding Imran Khan’s outburst on the PPP, the opposition leader said every person has his own manner and if Imran Khan continued to make such kind of statements then there would be dangerous effects. 

Meanwhile, Khursheed Shah asked the DG FIA to investigate appearance of his fake employment permit on social media. In a letter to DG FIA, Khursheed Shah said that a fake employment permit was being circulated on his name which is completely fake as no passport of such a number has ever been issued to him and even he was never been an electric engineer as has been mentioned in the fake employment permit.

He stated in his letter that the investigation must be carried out and the outcome must be shared with him.

Meanwhile, the PPP senior leader Saeed Ghani said that an appeal is being heard in the Supreme Court against Imran Khan in which he has failed to produce money trail and soon he will be declared disqualified for public office.

Saeed Ghani said Asif Zardari was kept in prison for over 11 years and not a single allegation was proved against him. He said Zardari was acquitted honourably by the courts. He said that Imran Khan had bartered Pakistan’s interest for money in the past when he accepted Kerry Packer’s offer to play in his cricket series in Australia.

Saeed Ghani said that Imran Khan will have to produce not only the money trail but also his blood trail so that everything comes out in the open as black and white and he will have to declare the asset which for a noble person is the biggest asset of his life.

Saeed Ghani said that Imran Khan is an arrogant individual and people still remember the incident at Niaz Stadium Hyderabad when he had kicked a small kid who wanted his autograph. “Imran Khan should also recall that his father Ikramullah Khan Niazi was terminated from government service on corruption charges. He wants a new Pakistan for hypocrites, but the PPP will never allow him to do Ghani concluded.
