PTI, JI, PPP celebrate SC verdict

PESHAWAR: The activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamaat-e-Islami and Pakistan People’s Party took to the streets to celebrate the Supreme Court verdict to disqualify Nawaz Sharif prime minister.

Dancing to the drumbeats, the PTI workers reached Peshawar Press Club and chanted slogans. They were led by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Member Provincial Assembly Arif Yousaf.

They also shared sweets and vowed to support PTI Chairman Imran Khan at all costs.

The JI workers also reached the press club to celebrate the Supreme Court verdict JI provincial chief Mushtaq Ahmad Khan and Peshawar district head Sabir Hussain Awan were leading the rally.

The rally was also attended by former MNA Abdul Akbar Chitrali, Attiq-ur-Rahman, former minister Hafiz Hashmat, Fazlullah and others.

Speaking on the occasion, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan termed the decision historic as a sitting prime minister was disqualified.

He said the nation would hold accountable in the 2018 general elections those who looted the exchequer.

TIMERGARA: The activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) here on Friday celebrated the Supreme Court’s judgment on the Panama Papers case.

The workers of PTI and JI took to the roads and chanted ‘go Nawaz go’ slogans as soon as the verdict was announced.

They also distributed sweets and danced to the drumbeat.

PTI Lower Dir chapter’s President Bashir Khan, Senior Vice-President Malik Rahatullah, Dr Sarbiland, Syed Shakil Ahmad, Alamgir Khan and others addressed party workers.

They said the Supreme Court should constitute another joint investigation team (JIT) to probe corruption allegations against the leaders of Pakistan People’s Party and Awami National Party.

The PTI leaders added that several other politicians had transferred national wealth abroad, asking the Supreme Court to take action against them.  The jubilant PTI workers also held rallies in Munda, Samarbagh, Talash and Timergara.

Meanwhile, dozens of JI workers expressed jubilation at the verdict and chanted slogans against the corrupt rulers.

JI district spokesperson Yaqoobur Rehman said his party was going to observe ‘Yaum-e-Azam’ today.

He said the JI was striving to root out corruption from the country.

SWABI: The leaders belong to various political parties celebrated the Supreme Court’s verdict to disqualify Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from office.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders said that the stand adopted by their chairman Imran Khan has been vindicated.

Leaders of other political parties said the decision would have far-reaching impact on the country’s politics, especially the upcoming general elections.

MINGORA: The activists of PTI in Swat also celebrated the Supreme Court verdict against Nawaz Sharif in the Panama Papers case.

The PTI activists took out a ‘thanksgiving rally’ and gathered in Nishat Chowk in Mingora to celebrate the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif as prime minister.

PTI’s Member National Assembly Saleemur Rehman, Member Provincial Assembly Fazal Hakeem and others were leading the rally.

 “It is the dawn of a new chapter in the political history of the country,” said Saleemur Rehman.

CHITRAL: The activists of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) celebrated Nawaz Shrif’s disqualification in the Panama Papers case and distributed sweets.

The PTI’s supporters took out a jubilation rally and reached the Chitral Press Club.

Speaking at a press conference, Provincial Minister for Agriculture Ikramullah Khan Gandapur, members provincial assembly belonging to PTI Fauzia Bibi, Ziaullah Bangash and others welcomed the court decision.

They said that the decision proved that no one was above the law. They said it was historic decision.
