REPORTS about a threatening letter to Benazir Bhutto High School, Badami Bagh, caused panic among students and their parents here Monday.
The school administration had found the letter a few days back and kept it secret. However, the news spread in the school on Monday and created panic among students and staff of the school.
The letter had warned the school administration to restrict the school girls to wear scarf. Badami Bagh police has not taken any action against the accused person who had thrown the threat letter on the premises of Benazir Bhutto High School, which is under the administrative control of the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB). Local police headed by SHO reached there, collected the letter and reviewed the security arrangements. The SHO claimed that the letter was not from any terrorist group. He said the footage of the security cameras showed that a 14-year-old boy threw a letter at the gate of the school. He said the school principal and the parents were satisfied with the security measures of the school. He said the camera footage was not clear, so it was difficult to identify the boy who threw the letter there. The school Principal Umme Kulsoom refused to comment.
