Two injured as mortar shell hits Nowshera house

NOWSHERA: A woman and her two daughters were injured on Friday when a mortar shell hit their house in Spin Kanay village.

The villagers said the main entrance and boundary walls of the house were damaged in the explosion caused by the mortar shell.They said the mortar shell was fired from an unknown direction and had struck the house of Jamil Rashid in Spin Kanay village in Nowshera district around midday.

The wife and two daughters of Jamil Rashid sustained injuries in the explosion.The locals shifted the injured to a hospital in Pabbi from where they were taken to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Nowshera. The mother sustained serious injuries in the incident. Her daughters suffered minor injuries.The villagers asked the government to provide help to the affected family.
