Dr MA ShahT20 cricket tournamentfrom May 27
KARACHI: The 22nd Dr MA Shah T20 cricket tournament will commence here at the Asghar Ali Shah stadium from May 27.
The tournament will begin with the match between EMMZ Trading and Emerging Talent.
This was revealed by Chairman Organising Committee Dr Junaid Ali Shah in a press briefing here at the Asghar Ali Shah stadium last night.
Junaid said that 16 teams would be taking part in this mega event, including teams from Lahore, Kandhkot, DG Khan, Multan and Saudi Arabia.
Each team will have to play three league matches. The final will be played on June 16.
The quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final will be telecast live on Geo Super.
Junaid said that more than Rs15 lac prize money is kept for the tournament. “The winners will receive Rs6 lacs with a motorbike, while the runners-up will get Rs3 lacs with a motorbike. Man of the Tournament will be awarded Rs20,000 and a 70cc motorbike,” he added.
