TCKP to provide more facilities at Khanpur Lake

PESHAWAR: The Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCKP) authorities have decided to expedite work on the ongoing projects to provide more facilities at Khanpur Lake to attract visitors and tourists to the scenic spot.
During visit to the Khanpur Lake on Sunday, TCKP Managing Director Mushtaq Ahmed Khan directed the quarters concerned to expedite work on the provision of basic facilities to the picnickers and tourists.
General Manager (events) Muhammad Ali Syed and other officials were also present on the occasion.The managing director inspected the ongoing projects. He asked the officials to speed up the pace of work to complete them on time.
Under the projects, several facilities including establishment of an information centre, tuck-shop, emergency assistance centre, space for families sitting, vehicles parking, water boating foodstuff and snack bar have already been made available to the tourists. Work on others is in progress.Beautiful Khanpur Lake is situated near the town of Khanpur in Haripur (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa). It is sited on the Haro River.
