HAFIZABAD: State Minister for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Saira Afzal Tarar has said that the present government believes in good governance and across the board accountability.

While addressing a gathering of villagers at Sandhwan Tarar on Saturday, she said that the government was determined to resolve the problems of the people living in remote areas. The state minister announced provision of Sui gas to the villages without any discrimination. She disclosed that she was the first lady from Hafizabad who was elected in the general elections. “It is now my obligation to provide all sorts of requirements, including Sui gas, to the villagers,” she added. She claimed that the present government under the leadership of PM Nawaz Sharif was a corruption-free government that was not involved in any kind of scandal. She said that mafia and land grabbers had tarnished the image of the district during the previous regimes and there was no rule of law in the district, adding that we had spread networks of roads, provided free medicines at hospitals and recruited teachers purely on merit. She said that some politicians were involved in negative politics and creating unrest among the masses. Due to the development projects executed by the government, PM Nawaz Sharif and CM Shahbaz Sharif had won the hearts of the masses, she added. The PML-N would clean sweep in the next elections, the minister added.
