Lahore

The students from the universities, including Government College University, Bahauddin Zakaria Univesity, Punjab University, Univerisity of Engineering and Technology, FCC, Islamic University and Quaid-e-Azam univerity participated in a seminar at Alhmara on Saturday and presented dramas and scripts.

The seminar was organised by Progressive Youth Alliance. The students and youngsters also talked about their problems. According to them, extremism is increasing with the passage of time. Space for progressive Pakistani is shrinking. Murder of Mashal Khan in university is alarming. Mashal’s death shows how state is helpless before extremists. Actually Mashal had resisted the corruption of the university administration, the students said. Moreover, counter-narrative is very important, otherwise, the peaceful environment of universities will be disturbed. No one will have courage to ask questions. Dialogue guarantees peace and reshapes a society, they said. Environment of dialogue should be created everywhere.
