Punjab CM’s attention drawn to plight of prisoner

Rawalpindi: Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Rawalpindi district (rural) Shamsur Rehman Swati has drawn attention of the Punjab chief minister towards plight of a prisoner who was granted bail by the court, over two months back.
In a statement, the JI leader said an accused Tauseef Ahmad s/o Muhammad Saleem was granted bail in a minor case by the District and Sessions Judge Rawalpindi on January 18, this year. The ‘Robkar’ from the court was received by Home department.
The JI leader said that Tauseef Ahmad is currently imprisoned in Mansehra Jail and he would be released only when the Punjab home department forwards the ‘Robkar to the KP home department for sending it further to the jail authorities.
