Woman killed by in-laws for ‘honour’

LAHORE

A woman running a beauty parlour was killed by her in-laws reportedly for honour in the Factory Area police limits on Monday. 

Victim Farzana Bibi ran the beauty parlour in main bazaar Chungi Amar Sadhu. On the day of incident, her father-in-law and brother-in-law, Mian Khan and Jibran, went to her parlour and attacked her with sharp-edge weapons after an exchange of harsh words. She received injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital where she was brought as brought dead. 

According to initial investigations, the victim was killed for honour. Her in-laws doubted her character and they killed her. An investigator said that the husband of the victim, himself, had set up the beauty parlor for her so claiming she was killed for honour was pre-mature. Cantonment SP Rana Tahir said police had arrested the accused and were investigating. He said ‘initial investigations’ suggested that the victim was killed for honour. 

SUICIDE: A woman tried to commit suicide reportedly by shooting herself in Naulakha. The victim (Z) had dispute with her family on some domestic issue and on the day of the incident she attempted suicide by shooting at herself. She was shifted to Mayo Hospital. 

KILLED ON ROAD: A 60-year-old man died in a road accident in Kahna. The victim was trying to cross a road when a fast moving vehicle hit him. He was shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him as brought dead. 

ARRESTED: Anti Vehicles Lifting Staff claimed to have arrested three bike lifters including ringleader of Khurram alias Mana gang. Police recovered 13 bikes, a car and weapons.
