PESHAWAR: A one-day training workshop on “Workplace Harassment” was organised by Gender Reform Action Plan Project ((GRAP), Social Welfare and Women Empowerment Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, at Directorate Social Welfare here.
The officers and officials of various offices working under Social Welfare Department were the participants of the training course, said a press release.Project Director GRAP Farid Khan Marwat in his inaugural address highlighted the significance of friendly and conducive workplace environment as crucial for healthy employment. He stated that increased awareness and education on workplace harassment would go a long way in addressing the issue.
Nadeem Farid was the resource person who elaborated various aspects of workplace harassment and legislation being done in the field at International and National levels. During the closing ceremony, the chief guest, Nawabzada Wali Muhammad Khan, Chairman Standing Committee on Social Welfare, distributed certificates among the participants.
