2014 has passed with mixed feelings of happiness and sorrow. We were happy because our national hockey team reached the final of the Champions Trophy in India after a gap of over a decade. We felt sorrow because of deadly terrorist attacks in the country like the Wagah border post attack and the most atrocious attack in Peshawar. The killings of so many innocent souls brought the whole nation on the same page. It give impetus to nation’s resolve to strike out terrorism with full force.
Pakistan is also facing threats to its security from across the borders. The aggressive policies of India are not only causing deaths of innocent people but they are a grave threat to the sovereignty of our country. In this context there is a need to devise foreign policy to counter Indian aggression at international fora like the UN. The situation demands our political parties to support the government to deal with our enemies.
