LAHORE: Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammed Sarwar on Saturday said education is the basic right of every child and all members of society must play their role in imparting education to children.
Addressing a ceremony held at the Governor House, Sarwar said every segment of society has a key role in promoting education and safeguarding basic right of every child.
Ceremony titled ‘Up4school’ was also attended by former governors of Punjab, including Mian Muhammad Azhar, Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa and Lt-Gen (retd) Khalid Maqbool.
Sarwar expressed immense pleasure to see former governors together for promoting education and said nations always remembered the leaders, who utilised available resources for public interests. He said secret behind nations’ success hidden in proper utilisation of available resources for education.
