KP CM asks masses to rise against corruption
NOWSHERA: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Sundayurged the masses to play their role in eradication of corruption from the country.Speaking at public rallies in Akbarpura, Pirpiai and Badrashi, he asked the youth to confront the corrupt elements in the society.
"The masses must not tolerate even minor anomalies and should play their role in raising awareness against the menace of corruption," he added.Pervez Khattak said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led provincial government had introduced the system of governance, which was in operation in the developed world.
"Earlier, the system was inefficient and corrupt. It was designed to protect the interests of the elite while the poor were at the mercy of ruling elite," he claimed. The PTI reformed the system through legislation to protect the future of the youth and province, he said, adding that a transparent and merit-based system could ensure better future for the youth. "The governments across the globe have devised policies to reverse the brain drain while the rulers in Pakistan did not bother even to check it," he regretted.
The government had taken steps to provide education and businesses opportunities to youth, he said, adding that an educated and healthy nation would change the destiny of the country. The chief minister said that the separate educational system in the country was the enemy of Pakistan, adding that his government was providing missing facilities to schools to end that divide.
He added that provision of facilities to poor children would bring a real revolution in the country. Pervez Khattak claimed that his government was fighting at several fronts. "We are reforming education, health and commercial sectors," he claimed.
He said that he considered creation of opportunities for the poor as mega projects and vowed that establishment of new townships would put an end to joblessness in the province. The chief minister claimed that there was no place for the politics of Awami National Party and Pakistan People's Party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
