India continues unprovoked firing on LoC, Working Boundary

RAWALPINDI: India resorted to unprovoked firing on the LoC and the Working Boundary in Bhimber and Chaprar sectors respectively on Tuesday, says an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release.

Pakistani troops befittingly responded to the Indian firing. Till the filing of this report, exchange of firing was continuing.APP adds: The Indian deputy high commissioner on Tuesday was summoned by the Director General South Asia and Saarc and a strong protest was lodged over the unprovoked ceasefire violations on October 23-24.

It was conveyed to the Indian side that it should investigate the incident and share the its troops to respect the ceasefire in letter and spirit, refrain from intentionally targeting the villages and maintain peace on the Working Boundary, a statement said by Foreign Ministry’s spokesman.

Meanwhile Pakistan has lodged strong protest over the violation of ceasefire.  The firing by the Indian occupation forces at the working boundary in Phuklian and Chaprar sectors resulted in martyrdom of two civilians including one-and-a-half year old baby girl. Six civilians were also injured as a result of the shelling by Indian side.
