Hindu govt workers to get paid before Diwali

On the account of Diwali, the Sindh government announced that it would release salaries, pensions and grants owed to all Hindu public employees by October 24.

Speaking about religious harmony in the province in a meeting with a Hindu community delegation on Thursday, Sindh minister Mukesh Chawla said that the present government has protected the communities who have freedom to observe their rituals and practices.

He added that the ‘festival of lights’ was celebrated with fervour and everyone should be a part of these celebrations.
