Braille Quran orientation ceremony held

Braille Quran orientation ceremony was held here at Media Town on Sunday. Trustee of Ummah Welfare Trust (UWT), a UK registered Charity, Muhammad Idrees was the chief guest on the occasion, says a press release.
Several media persons were also present in the ceremony, in which they were briefed about ‘Braille Quran’ project.
Hafiz Haroon Rasheed, who is a visually impaired person and introducer of Braille Quran for blind with English and Urdu translations by Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani, briefed the participants about the importance of Holy Quran in Braille for a blind person.
Hafiz Haroon Rasheed has been struggling his whole life for the welfare of blind community. His four brothers are also blind, so one can imagine the difficulties and helplessness faced by his family. He strongly believes that, “Nothing can stop the man with right mental attitude from achieving his goals; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong attitude.” About his achievement of the goal of Braille Quran, he said, “The thing always happens that you really believe in; and the belief in a thing makes it happen”.
He said so far over 300 blind persons have been provided with free copies of Braille Quran through UWT.
He also aims at distributing copies of Braille Quran all over the world among blind Muslims.
The participants praised Hafiz Haroon Rasheed for his tireless efforts in spreading the light of Holy Quran from one corner of the world to another. They assured UWT for their full cooperation in this noble cause.
