A fourth class student drowned in a well constructed on his school’s premises located in North Nazimabad on Friday.
Shahrah-e-Noorjehan police said the body of 12-year-old Uzair, son of Saleem, was recovered from a well constructed on the premises of St Jude’s School, located near the intermediate board office situated in D’Silva Town.
Investigators said Uzair was playing with a friend near the site and accidentally fell into the open well. While rescuers were immediately called in, it was too late by the time the boy was taken out. His body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities.
