ISLAMABAD: PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Monday said his party was investigating the number of PTI votes thrown out at the last minute during the NA-122 by-election.
In a message posted on Twitter, Imran Khan said he will approach the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) after completing the investigation. He also felicitated the party candidates Aleem Khan and Shoaib Siddiqui.
“This is our moral victory as we have successfully challenged the PML-N in their stronghold. This election will strengthen the PTI,” said Imran.
He further remarked that the PTI members will learn from their mistakes and counter the “rigging tactics” of the ruling PML-N.
Refuting Imran Khan’s claim, Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique said exclusion of voters from lists was not possible and thus Imran should not waste the nation’s precious time.
