SSU holds mock terror drills at girls’ school

The Special Security Unit Sindh (SSU) Police held a day-long Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) at Habib Girls School on Saturday to equip the students with necessary precautionary skills to face any untoward incident.

The SSU commandos conducted mock emergency drills to explain students how to protect themselves and people around them during any unforeseen terrorist attack like a shooting or bomb blast.

Security Officer SSU Muhammad Muzaffar Iqbal, said that the awareness training program is specially designed for people with non-combating skills so they can shield themselves from violence. He added the lives of civilians remained the top most priority and the resolve of professional commandos remained undeterred. He stated that the commandos of SWAT team are well-equipped and are constantly vigilant to counter any emergency situation.
