Awareness about diet & hygiene linked to healthy society
CHITRAL: District Nazim Maghfirat Shah on Friday said that creating awareness about diet and hygiene among the masses could result in a healthy society. He was speaking at the ‘District Development Forum ‘about the newly launched project of health and nutrition.
The project has been launched at two union councils of Drosh tehsil under the Italian-funded Programme for Poverty Reduction with Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP) being an implementing partner.
He said that SRSP was rendering invaluable services for improving the life standards of the people of Chitral. He stressed the need for creating awareness among the masses about the importance of healthy society for development of the country.
Javed Ahmed, a representative of the project, said that they were working
in various health-related initiatives in the two union councils.He said that people’s suggestion for health issues would be incorporated in the planned projects.
