Scores of minority community members, including Sikhs, Hindus and Christians, on Thursday staged a protest demonstration in front of Punjab Assembly, The Mall, against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his anti-Pakistan remarks.
MPA Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, Sardar Bishan Singh and other Sikh and Hindu leaders participated in the demonstration. Carrying placards and banners, the protesters condemned Modi’s anti-Pakistan remarks and India’s involvement in Balochistan. They criticised Indian government for atrocities in Indian-held Kashmir.
They also condemned MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s anti Pakistan speech and demanded stern actions against all anti-Pakistan elements.
