PEF enhances cash prizes for position-holder students
LAHORE
Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has enhanced amount of cash prizes for position-holder students of its partner schools.
Now the overall first position holders of Boards of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISEs) and Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) exams would be given Rs 50,000 cash prize each. Similarly, Rs 40,000 will be given to overall second position-holder while Rs 30,000 will be given to third position-holder.
Meanwhile, Rs 25,000 will be given to group-category topper in the board’s higher secondary education exams. Rs 20,000 for second position-holder and Rs 15,000 for third position-holder in group-category will be given by the foundation.
Punjab Education Foundation MD Tariq Mahmood said this while chairing a meeting at his office on Thursday.
Deputy managing directors, programme directors and relevant officials attended the meeting.
The meeting expressed satisfaction that partner schools’ students had always shown good results in different exams.
The meeting was told that two different students Sheher Bano Saeed and Sidra Bano have secured second positions in Arts group in Multan and Gujranwala boards while Muhammad Shahzad got third position in Multan board’s exam held in 2016.
The meeting was informed that process for textbooks collection for the academic year 2017-18 has already been started to provide books well in time to the partners.
The meeting directed the school partners to ensure that their students’ record is updated regularly in PEF’s student information system so that their monthly emoluments could be paid according to the schedule.
