Another milestone

The news that an estimated Rs410.88 million has been approved by the Punjab government for the health sector is welcome. According to the details, the approved scheme includes construction of a 100-bed hospital in Multan. A third party audit of health facilities is underway across the province and strict action will be taken against those found guilty.

It is hoped that the government will remain sincere in its efforts to improve the health conditions in the province. Whatever has been done is good but more needs to be done and soon.
