Ahsan Iqbal stresses on human resource development
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reform Ahsan Iqbal on Monday urged the youth to develop leadership skills as it was essential for a better and bright future.
Addressing the International Youth Conference, he said a successful human being has an ability to search ray of hope even in the darkness. He said there was a need to create positive thinking among the youth by eliminating desperation and hopelessness.
The minister said the present era belonged to educational revolution, which could strengthen economy, adding that the Muslim world suffered badly because of staying away from knowledge and research.
He said the future wars would be fought in the field of education and added that the Pakistani youth were performing better despite limited resources.Ahsan said development didn’t mean to achieve financial gains, rather it was human resource development and stressed the need to develop an ability to compete other nations in education and inventions.
He said the telecommunication infrastructure in Pakistan could compete with the world. Pakistan, he said, was far safer than it was in 2013 as the backbone of terrorists and extremists had been broken. He said owing to visionary leadership and robust policies of the present government, Pakistan was now the 10th emerging economy of the world.
